At The Next Generation (TNG), we believe that sports—particularly soccer—play a transformative role in shaping the future of young people. Our Youth Soccer Talent Development Program is designed not just as a recreational outlet, but as a powerful tool for education, leadership, teamwork, and community building. The success of this program was proudly demonstrated in 2024, when our youth soccer team emerged as champions of the Kyangwali Youth Tournament—a prestigious and highly competitive event that brings together talented teams from across the refugee settlement and neighboring host communities. This remarkable achievement not only showcased the athletic excellence of our youth but also highlighted the effectiveness of our long-term investment in sports as a tool for empowerment and social cohesion. More than just winning a trophy, this victory symbolized the strength of unity, determination, and community spirit. It also served as an inspiration to many young people in the settlement, proving that with the right guidance and opportunity, they too can rise above challenges and achieve greatness.
Beyond competition, our soccer program is deeply integrated with our values of peacebuilding, inclusion, and youth leadership. We actively promote fair play, gender equality in sports, and cross-cultural understanding through mixed-community tournaments and youth dialogues.
